What can I expect from a mindfulness course?
The skills learnt on a mindfulness course can bring about a sense of calm and spaciousness, allowing us to become more effective in our daily lives and more open and understanding in our relationships. By recognising and letting go of negative thought patterns we can appreciate what is most important to us and enjoy life more fully.
On a mindfulness course you will be invited to become more aware of the present moment ‘just as it is’. Through this, you will develop awareness of bodily sensations, feelings and thoughts; learn to recognise patterns of thought that lead to stress; and to notice more positive aspects of our lives we might otherwise miss.
The course is essentially practical in approach, using short exercises and meditations, discussion and inquiry into experience.
We do not wish money to be a barrier to attending our courses. Therefore, we can offer a few places on this course at a concessionary rate to anyone with genuine need. This is currently £90.00 for a
9-week course and £45.00 for a 4-week course.
As a guide, this discount can be available for students, those in receipt of state benefits, on a state or other low pension, or on a low wage. If you apply for the concession rate we will not question your circumstances but please bear in mind that our prices are already as low as we can keep them.
We also have some places available for people who cannot afford the concession rate. It is also possible to pay in instalments.
Please contact us to arrange a booking at the concession rate or discuss other options.
