The practice of mindfulness has been proven to help people alleviate stress, be less anxious and more able to deal effectively with periods of depression and ill-health. On this course you will receive a practical introduction to the qualities of mindfulness and compassion, with support to cultivate these life-enhancing qualities in your own life. You will be guided in core mindfulness practices, with opportunities to explore what mindfulness is (and what it isn't!) and how it helps alleviate stress, anxiety, low mood and depression. You will also be introduced to practices to encourage more compassionate responses, starting with the person you spent most time with - yourself! The kinder we are to ourselves, the more positivity we are able to bring to our interactions with others.
