What is compassion and how do we cultivate this heart-opening quality, for ourselves and those around us?

If you have previously completed an 8-week mindfulness course such as MBSR or MBCT and would like to deepen your mindfulness practice and discover new approaches for cultivating positive emotion, this course could be for you.

As well as reconnecting with the core themes of mindfulness, participants will be further introduced a range of new practices for opening the heart, with an exploration of what gets in the way of that.

The course includes opportunities for discussion and sharing in the group and introduces relevant theory and science.

Mindfulness Day Retreat

For participants on our current 8-week courses. Also open to people who have previously done an 8-week mindfulness course.

A day of mindfulness practice: the morning includes a period of silent practice and reflections, but the day also includes interactive activities and a wonderful shared vegetarian lunch. Enjoy the opportunity to drop deeper into the practices, in good company and in the spacious, magical setting of the houseboat. (Don't worry about your 'sea legs' - the boat only floats on the highest tides!) Participants typically love these days!

Refresh your mindfulness practice and learn new approaches to cultivating calmer, more positive states of mind. In these courses we revisit the 8-week courses and introduce new themes and practices, for example, approaches for cultivating kindness and self-compassion. There will be support for renewing and continuing home practice as well as opportunities to explore whatever themes and questions are 'live' for course participants.
